Life Line: a strong indication of how long you will live.

The life line starts halfway between the thumb and the index finger. It is primarily examined to determine health, physical strength, family affairs, housing matters, and life expectancy.

A good "life line" is relatively thick and very distinct. It should extend down to the wrist without breaks or interruption. Rose pink is considered to be the best color. The lines around the base of the thumb are also examined.

The life line starts between the thumb and the index finger. It then touches the
wrist, curving widely around the thumb. This line indicates longevity, vitality, and
the quality of life.
  •  An absent life line shows a sluggish and high-strung person, with a tremendous nervous energy.
  • A long and regular line indicates an excellent equilibrium and a healthy constitution.
  • A faint line indicates a lack of endurance, or a dull and uneventful life.
  • If the line is forked at its beginning, it shows the person as just, truthful, loyal and dependable.
  • If the line ends in a fork, the person suffers from frail health and experiences a lack of energy.
  • A forked line leading to the Middle finger is a sign of success, recognition and glory.
  • If the line forks to the fate line, travel to distant places is indicated.
  • A faint line indicates a life of misery,
  • Clear line suggests a smooth life.
  • A double line is typical of the security offered by a loved one of the opposite sex. It also indicates a healthy sexual life.
  • Branches in the life line make a strong statement about the fortunes of the
  • individual.
  • While upward branches show achievement, glory and success,
  • drooping branches indicate financial, social and emotional loss.
  • A long and deep line shows an abundance of energy, and single-minded
  • determination to reach goals.

The Life Line starts from the top of the palm, between the thumb and the index finger, and goes toward the bottom edge of the palm. The length of the Life Line does not necessary represent longevity, it represents the strength of life both physically and mentally.
If the Life Line is long, deep and red, it represents strong vitality, good immune system, and does not get sick easily. If it is short and shallow, the person tends to be weaker or has more health issues. If the line is thicker, the person is better with physical work or sports, or if the line is thinner, the person is better with work requiring more brain-power and less physical. If the palm area it encloses (from the base of the thumb to the Life Line) is larger, it represents a more energetic and romantic life, or if it is smaller, it represents fatigue.
If there are iron-chain-like creases at the beginning of the line (on the edge of palm between the thumb and the index finger), it indicates frequent illness during childhood.
Similarly, if there are breaks or has small creases near the end of the line, it indicates health problems at old age.
If there are small circular creases in the middle of the line, it indicates major illness or hospitalization during the lifetime - the bigger the crease, the worse the condition is and longer it lasts.
